    Heer Officers Side Cap

    Greetings all,

I pulled this one right out of the weeds this week, however there seem to be some odd things about it.

Cockade looks to be a Luftwaffe one, not sure why its on there, non standard silver cording around the scallop area and a blue lining.

The soutasche was white but is now stained. It is amaged at the rear, could be blood, sweat or something else just as gross. Some parts are brittle because of this.

Eagle is stitched using the same thread as the rest of the cap.

Anyway I will let the pictures do the talking.

    Thoughts?

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

The LUFT cockade is not often seen on WH headgear..but it's not unheard of..both on m38 or M43s for Officers...Billbert

Looks like it may well have been battle damaged & blood stained
