Nice photo of Welhausen cap in wear (Pz.Aufkl.Abt.37)

I recently added this photo of a leutnant with 2./Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 37 to my collection and figured I'd share here. The cap stood out to me immediately - it has to be a Welhausen! The overall shape, leather visor, heavy chincord and wreath design are dead giveaways. I have only ever seen this style bullion wreath on Welhausen caps - it is a very distinctive bulbous design. Can't tell the waffenfarbe, but I'm assuming its panzer rosa. Not sure if anyone here cares, but figured some may appreciate this

You know you're a cap nerd when you can tell the maker of a cap from a photo without seeing the label

Love how the second guy has bent the leather visor into an arch shape.

I have this unmarked cap, with this wreath, perhaps same maker?

              regards

I'd say there's a decent chance this is a Welhausen. Just missing the thicker chincord.

Basel, I would agree--the earlier Welhausens did not have as pronounced of a peak as the wartime examples, and the thick cords seem to be characteristic of wartime caps.
