I found the eagle at a local estate sale. Is this an Army Generals visor eagle or something else? Back is marked "A" for Assman and "41". Measures 2 5/8" long. Thanks for any help!

As Don stated, it is a Kriegsmarine eagle.
At 2 5/8 inches, it could also be used for the visor hat.
The "Donald Duck" hat eagles generally measured around 2 inches.
