In my opinion...IF the cap body is from WW2..which I doubt..It and the insignia applied to it...did NOT start out NEW together...Billbert

Don't recall any service using the dark blue hat in the army cut...but..

I just discovered however that the KM had in use some also some army cut overseas...

it appears that Angolia is mentionning that in his book about the Kriegsmarine,
page 206....

and they are some proposed by other dealer....

Does it mean that the mentioned Heer cut of the KM overseas, mentioned by Angolia, did never exist ??

The earliest KM Coastal Artillery used Army Style caps...but only in Feldgrau...I have owned three of these thru the years...BUT NEVER in Blau that I am aware of or have personally encountered since 1965 if memory serves...Billbert

Agree with billbert, you can find this style in early Kustenartillerie feldgrau caps, but never seen in blue, IMO these are not KM
