It's not sewn on. It's a separate piece fixed with two prongs.

Here a side view and a picture of the inside. Behind the wreath is a metal plate. A bit the same way like they make a ribbon bar around the metal strip. But here the plate has prongs

Hmmm, first time I see a bullion wreath put with pins to a cap.

I would like to see how the pins are with the wreath.

My dealer had more then once visor caps with this type of wreath in the past so I guess it is not that ultra rare. I'll try to make some more pictures.
