I found two images. Please excuse the horrible quality. The seller had sold all of the photos separately and only saved these two low quality shots (a real shame as it is such an interesting piece).

    Hope this helps... Kurt

It belonged to an officer who was assigned to the East and I may have saved a couple of images of this piece in wear. Will try to dig them out... Kurt
        Hallo Kurt

Very nice and absolutely interesting shots of historical value

Just to end the previous first part about this obscure topic, some other samples:

          Great photos!

Allan, I think you should send Daniel a xmas gift for posting these because they have just turned a rather curious cap that most would shy away from into a unique and very collectable gem!!

I agree this is an original modification from Gendarmerie to Feldgendarmerie. I have seen this before, Both a Feldgendarmerie Officer cap with Heer insignia on a standard Gendarmerie peaked cap and a different colored cloth band to cover the brown band. A perfectly legitimate variation and a scarce crusher cap.

              Congratulations!

Wonderful to see the actual, distinctive hat in period use. This site never fails to amaze me. Thanks to all contributors....

Kurt, is it a true crusher just because it has a leather visor? Shouldn't a true crusher have a cloth stiffener and not treated cardboard? I know you are the true "crusher" expert here, just wondering...

The fact that you keep mentioning the word "crusher" and "true" is evidence that you don't know what you're talking about.

Calling out Kurt in a ridiculing and sarcastic way is merely more evidence that you are clueless.
