              Wow,

              the SS trap is machine zig-zag on to the cap. Hopefully not through the liner.

              Whoever, put that SS Edelweiss on the side with a sewing machine knew what they were doing. Makes you wonder if it was done before the cap was put together.

                I think the lining was taken out to machine sew the SS trapazoid and then the lining and back of the officers cello piping was hand sewn back in.

                  Good point, so a close, careful examination of the stitching around the circumference of the liner would be necessary on this one,

                    IMO the piping is synthetic nylon (probably a shoe-lace) and the trap is zig-zag-stitched on by hand. And I don't like the machine-sewing on the edelweiss at all. It's a Franky.
