Ofiicer M43 cap for review

What you think Gent's about this Oficer M43 cap ?

Look like a period cap that had the factory trapezoid insignia removed...who's to say when the new old style Eagle and cockade where added..although not OFTEN done..metal insignia is seen in period fotos...

This almost looks like a conversion of an M-42 cap to M-43 style. Interesting.

I have a salty one ( salt stains were the visor meets the body) with the same twill under visor, same button holes ,same cut and seams, no size or maker stamps. Only difference is mine has an em heer trap hand sewn applied. same type wool body and lining ( field repaired), blue metal buttons. IMO these caps are good. I also believe that the trap on the one you are looking at was remove and most likely the metal insignia was post war applied....but you never know for sure.
