Tell me about this visor hat please

I attend a lot of Estate Sales looking for military items. I know little about German collectibles but did buy this visor hat for $100. It has no holes or damage except for the missing leather sweat band. I would like to know what I have and perhaps it's value

I believe that it'a a Reichsbahn ( State Railways) cap, not sure of rank or position.
Shame about the sweatband, but still a good deal at $ 100.
