    Non regulation m43 ?

My son in law took these fotos at an estate sale . They wanted a lot of money . What do you guys think of this hat ? Unfortunately he didn't take an interior shot.
He did get their phone number and for sure it didn't sell at the price they were asking. No other Militaria at sale. They told him to get back with a fair price as they
We're not sure of the price they marked it. I'm sure they googled something similar and matched it with a heavy duty dealer site.

From the photos what are your thoughts

    Thank you in advance

No , my son in law didn't take any interior photos , but said it had a leather or I imagine ersatz sweat band. He couldn't remember type of lining if at all. He's not a Militaria collector.

Also worth noting that its a Bergmutze rather than an M43

Although not the same shape, this one is manufactured from similar cloth and the same insignia.

Although it is RIGHT and REAL I would caution you NOT to spend a KINGS fortune to acquire it...The hobby has changed ....what might have been valuable 5 years ago to MANY is LESS so today..I say this also while liking it VERY MUCH !! JMHO

PS If your desire IS to add it to your collection...the sky's the limit !!

Thank you all for your opinions and expertise.

Bilbert, don't worry at the price I understand they were asking I wouldn't buy it.
I will make a reasonable offer where I am comfortable as I hate to just leave it out there. If it doesn't work out I won't look back .
