Though the BeVo (enlisted) cockade is unusual on one of these officer's caps, the materials used all appear to be original. I tend to think the cap is period made (original).

The cap itself looks good to me, but I think the machine sewing on the cockade and soutache is rather "fresh", but it might just be my eyes and pictures etc.

Just look fresh on the photos, maybe because of the close-up views, in hand look same condition as the cap. The cap itself only a little weared.

The only problem I see is that it's not in my collection. Great cap and one I'd stick away any day. It's interesting to see the enlisted cockade and bullion eagle but stranger combos exist. Matt
