I was thinking civilian pilots too but I couldn't pin down why.
The eagle in that composite insignia looks (wings) like the early SSVT eagle I have (http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...+bullion+eagle) except for the fact the bird seems to look the wrong way.
Anyway, I guess I would 'guess' airline pilot as Bill posited.
