    odd Artillery Officer's visor cap

    Hello all,

I came across this one today while surfing and I wanted to ask exactly what it is. Is this truly an Artillery Officer's cap with a grey band like this? I have never seen anything like it.

It's a beautiful cap and obviously original IMO, but probably from the Weimar period or very early TR as it appears to be a tellerform. The badges may or may not be period upgrades. They look original, but I doubt that they started out life on this cap. Are there signs of previous badges present?

ok, that makes sense I guess. I do see that the cockade is tombak while the eagle is a late-war zinc piece. A sharp cap I had just never seen anything like it.
