    MG Laufschutzer...different Yugo

    Hi Guys,

I know this is a Yugo Laufschutzer since it has the BK/59 stamp, but I've been told by a mate (and member) that it's a different green than the usual Yugo Laufschutzers.
It also has a canvas strap that looks like a mix of a carrier strap and a k98 sling.

Would love some opinions on this one.

I don´t know much about the Yugo-Laufschützer. Perhaps it is an austrian BH?
They used the MG42 after the war also.

Certainly the colour doesn't look Yugo and the sling either. Couldn't it be German or Austrian?

It's a very strange one Erwin!

Here's another one similarly stamped below, and with the same type of strap. This one is in the 'typical' Yugo shade of green (unlike yours), but what is interesting about this one is the "lux" marked section of the strap - meaning at least this part of the strap is of the WW2 period.

This ist typical early Bundeswehr/Polizei/Bundesgrenzschutz for MG42/1/3.
Those are still in service today (mostly repainted several times in Bundeswehr oliv)

                      Ok, so Bundeswehr it is??
                      What about the stamp then?

I suggested German or Austrian as the 59 could be related to a model, not yugo m53, but rather German. I don't know about the BK.
