    Sea - Air rescue visor ... ... ...

Do I dear to put another "marine" type visor on this forum ???

Somme of my other marine type visors have been rejected as post war caps with good insignias ... ( HJ marine officer, NSKK marine visor and even a couple KM visors.) Luckily there where some with absolutely no question-mark on them especially when having a RZM tag on them ( SA , HJ OR ) ...

    So, this one ?

The insignia has been authentified by the LW guys as absolutely original, no question about it.
The insignia is mounted "inside" the silk, no visible pins as often seen.

The makers label inside the cap has below the makers name the letters "DRP"
I do not need to specify what this means...
    Although, I should ( translation : "German REICH patent " ...
I specify the word " REICH" As two of my "other" marine caps have been rejected as post war Bundesmarine caps ... Wiles having these DRP initials printed in them ...
As far as my knowledge ... The word "REICH" was not very appreciated after 45 ...

    back to the cap .
As one can see on the detail picture, there is a dark bleu ( navy bleu ) piping.

There are visible traces of a previously mounted eagle on top of the visor. Having the cap in hand, I would say it fits perfectly a political style eagle, ( SA - NSKK ) Or maybe a small first model LW eagle but I do not think so as the visible small prongs holes do not mach any LW eagle I own.
There are also very tin traces of a possible sewn badge where the actual metal insignia is. One could think of a "marine " type wreath. ?

So I think I described this pieces as good as I could ...

Don't be afraid to criticise, i'm used to it by now lol :-)

        Marc--

I am sorry to say that this is a post-war Pekuro.
(They used the "DRP" mark up until the early 1950s).

This would be another Handelsmarine visor with added TR insignia.
