To be honest, I'm getting a bit tired of requests like this.

We all know that these requests are not born out of academic study.

All they want to know is if this potentially very rare and valuable piped SS visor is authentic.

That's the truth, isn't it?

Well, it's usual in the antique collectables world that people get paid for their expertise.
That don't happen here though and in some cases, it's quite the reverse situation.
You can authenticate an item on this forum and then get blamed for getting it wrong in the opinion of someone you've never heard of!
