Looks like a nice find 4xL - but it's impossible to tell for sure without better pics (i.e. an entire interior shot of the visor incl. sb)... Kurt

          Hallo 4xL

Max Drechsler, Mutzen Spezialgeschäft, Dachauerstr. 26 (tel. 57292) is confirmed by Munchen Adressbuch 1938 and 1941:
          http://wiki-de.genealogy.net/w/index....djvu&page=163
          http://wiki-de.genealogy.net/w/index....djvu&page=157

The Annaberg Adressbuch 1928 also confirms the presence of an enterprise M. Drechsler, kfm. Sohn & Rathansohn (Fa), posamentenfbrktn. (trimmings fabrication), in Konig-Albert-Strasse 9:
          http://digital.slub-dresden.de/werka...f/90289/126/0/
Then something did go wrong and the director Marie Helene Drechsler (perhaps a relative of Max?) retired and the company was dissolved. A Rudolf Kohl consequently directed the commercial enterprise under its previous name, continuing to be the sole owner of the enterprise. (Courtesy of member Erel).

It is not therefore possible to make a secure connection between the two Drechsler.

          So much for history.

As regards to the Drechsler logo, it is fairly uniform in its variants and always develops on four lines, normally imprinted in silver fonts on a celluloid diamond. Therefore, I like your visor at first sight, though I agree with Kurt that we need more detailed pictures, partly because the production of Drechsler continued even after the war at the same address.

What a shame that the camo cap had most of its material cut out off the flap area...ruined now...
Even on the white side it's been trimmed off the cap...so probably to restore a parka...
              Otherwise a nice find!
