What to say about this crusher ... outside the tissue's aging is credible but the oakleaf wreath is stitched so unworthy and the basketweave piping is unusual (but possible). The interior, however, clarifies any doubt:

For the non-german speaking members this is the description: Original fieldgrey infantry Knautschmütze with embroidered cockade for officers and dark green band. The peak is made of leather, which makes the cap particularly flexible (see last picture). Interior light brown leather sweatband with gray lining and head size stamp "57". Hoheitsadler was removed and is no longer available. For the condition of the cap please refer to the images that are part of the auction's description.
