Heer EM M43 cap (maker RB number 0/0487/0002)

Hi all, I have this on the way after seeing it reviewed earlier on the WAF on this thread:-

Bought it from Mike Davis of the Virtual Grenadier, excellent service and communication as usual!

I'd be very interested if anyone has come across further information on this maker (RB number 0/0487/0002), or can identify the town? I've looked around but can't see much, although of course the RB maker research is an ongoing subject!

Have been focusing on Luftwaffe uniforms in recent times, but have always had a weakness for M43 caps and late-war uniforms. Hope you like it as much as me!

Thanks Steve, picked it up yesterday after the usual interminable delay in UK customs! Showing it with a late war belt, with the late-war 'einheitsfarbe' blue-grey buckle finish.

Funny, these things were probably more or less worthless immediately after WW2, but as the rarity increases over time, in the collector's eye, trying to get one that ticks all of your boxes, they begin to look something like the Holy Grail!
