I was asked about this hat, and am on the fence with it.
The hat is a 100% original Berolina, and the cross matches the insignia nicely.

BUT, there does not appear to be that reddish hue to the piping we all like to see.
Second, I do not like to see crosses squeezed in between the wreath and the eagle.

If you look at wartime chappy photos, almost all visors have the eagle placed high on the peak to accomodate the cross (so it does not have to be on the band/piping).

A very nice Berolina MeisterKlasse by G. A. Hoffman in pristine conditions of use (ie, it never left the parish) but, in my opinion, not a chaplain but a medical officer one, both for the waffenfarbe color of that pipings and for the position of the cross. A third way is not possible. Just my opinion of course.

It is very hard for a camera to catch violet color correctly. But I also would expect more bright and red hue for the correct chaplain Waffenfarbe. The piping of the cap looks to be more like cornflower blue rather than violett from my monitor.
