    Prägewerkzeug for Visor Eagle

    Hello,

    could you please give me opinions about this Prägewerkzeug, i dont know what is the right word in english.

    I know the pictures are very small, but the seller can only shoot pictures with his mobile phone.

    That's very cool!
    It's a matching set of die stamp tools for manufacturing mützenabzeichen. The engraving is still very crisp, maybe it was never used.

    I've seen a few appear in HH auctions in the past so they are out there.

        Hallo Martin

        The question you're asking, I think it is an unsolvable one, unless:
        1. the hoheitsabzeichen experts give an opinion on the eagle's quality and consequently whether it is period or not, even with regard to the absence of internal markings and points where the prongs were welded;
        2. I see no mark on your "mother and daughter"'s matrix ;
        3. The specimens posted by Ben are one of the two elements constituting both the full sets. Since the Germans had (and yet they have) the craze of branding almost everything, you can see that on the first piece of the image n. 2, which is that of the eagle's inside - in this case even a rare Volksdeutsche FS eagle third model or, though a bit controversial, a Croatian ES (in this regard see Littlejohn, vol. 3, page 53 & 231):

        - there is is an engraved name that I'm not able to translate ( wass ... wagg ... etc.?).
        Now, a complete model in its full two parts is then offered to you. But I wonder: in what way were minted all the fake eagles that have been produced over the last seventy years ?

        Here my ability to help you stop.

        Best regards

            Hallo Martin

            This is a real evidence.

            Therefore, you must look for a German company involved in the metal processing industry, whose acronym was B.E.S.H.

            For example, it makes me think E = Eisen; S = Stahl; H = Handwerk ... and so on

            It will not be easy, though, at this point, you can try to identify it ...

              Just to evaluate the convenience: what is the price the seller is asking you for it?

                  The object is beautiful and with that brand punch it is definitely original.

                  However, it is totally outside of my field of expertise and therefore I am not able to give you some serious advice.

                  You should see the price of a similar item in some previous auction and then try to save some money, although I think it will be pretty tough.
