Thoughts of 2 Luftwaffe OS cap

    Ciao a tutti
A guy offering these 2 Luftwaffe OS cap for trade (and more).
I don't study and collect WL items, so I'd like to ask you help.
The first one looks good IMO, but I have a few doubts about the second one because it's 42 dated with RBNr.....
    Let me know, please.
    Thanks.
    Giancarlo

Gian, the officer's is a beauty, I like it a lot. Would you please show details of the insignia on the second? So far, am not liking what I see either.

Ciao John and thank you for your fast reply
This is the picture as request.
But....no problem for the RBNr with 1942 date??
              Again...thanks

I believe it's ok to see RB numbers from later in 1942. Still not inspired by the OR cap or it's insignia.

Really? I was sure it was impossible to find this combination (1942 + RBNr), btw I'll return this one to the owner, can't convince myself about the originality.
                  Thank you for your help

Regarding Luftwaffe tropical billed field caps (Meyer Caps). In late 1942 some makers began to use a number code which was not a standard RB number but an abbreviated code instead of the maker name and city. Shortly after this the RB identity system begins to be seen in Meyer caps.

I would have returned the OR cap too.
