White-Topped Gau visor on Old Brigade

There is a white-topped, wine-piped Gau visor on the Old Brigade's website...

what are the opinions of the more experienced of the forum?

The tag appears to be original (and added)

Nick, most of the cap is original--it is what I call a chop-top. He took a good Gau visor and removed the top, replacing it with the waffle-pattern one in the pic.

                  True Story...
2005 i bid on a white top political cap on Manions. Pics weren't the greatest, but for 2500.00 I jumped on it. When it did arrive it was a gross mess. A white top was clearly stitched on in place of the brown top. A 5 year old coulda stitched it better. I started a return and called the credit card company for good measure so as to cover all bases. Now looking back at their nefarious past, I was very fortunate I did get stuck with that lemon. White topped political visors are indeed very rare, very rare, and if encountered should be approached with every bit of skepticism you can muster.
