I have an overseas cap who seems good in a first time (normal wear inside, leather headband,...) . But I'm intrigued by markings:

CARL ROTH
Dettingen
1940

From the outside it is a very spectacular field cap, but I've compared the stamps of Ritter and I believe that, in addition to being quite sloppy, this is one in italic fonts, in my opinion, not original. As you can see from yourself in the threads that I've have attached you, the original stamps are printed in not italic fonts. It would also be interesting to check from the inside the metal rings of the air vents. After all, if I have to give you a very personal and of course a subjective opinion:

Reminds me abit of a grey panzer officer I own.(that I think is repro and lives in the drawer
Lacking one stitch line along the front edge as mine does and very similar cloth although mine is grey.

Yes, I followed the thread. On the first look, this kind of cap looks good, finally well made! Fortunatly, I didn't pay it... It was a attached part on an auction lot.
I hesitate to keep it on a cellar or sell it on ebay (idicatig is probably a fake , of course)...
