                  The second image in post 5 is closest to Nebel. When you photograph it with a flash or in interior light it looks red like these images. Here is another Nebel Erel that belonged to RKT Hermann Henle. It photographs with it looking more red than it is.

                    Here compared to a General Staff visor that belonged to Helmut von Vollard-Bockelberg. In the light, the Carmine almost looks like Panzer pink. Whats nice about named groupings is you do not have to guess

                              Take a picture out in daylight without a flash. That is the best way. The color varies within the branch and time. By the end of the War, some of the hat piping and shoulder boards were almost red.
