I don't know exactly what this is, I found one that comes close with it. It's a picture of a Fireman's police overseas cap. I will post that pic to and let me know, it's the closest match I could find. Let me know what you think? I realize the insignia that's on the cap now is probably not original to the cap and it doesn't have the kriegsmarine cut to it. But it sure seems old and there is a 4 inside that I can barely make out next to the rip if you look closely inside.

Those who know about such items )and it is not me) will need to see a few shots of the inside of the cap, and fold down the skirt and photograph the part that is hidden between the skirt and the crown. This might get you a better answer. Real clear images are needed.Comment

IMO a fireman side cap with an added WH eagle .Added when and why ?
KM Helferin would have a yellow eagle at least , and a gold yellow piping .

There are quite a few female helferin organisations that might wear a cap like this, not just KM, Heer or LW, but political units, NSKK, SA, Org Todt and well as other minor government bodies.Comment
