The crimson color shared by General Staff and Veterinarians is referred to a 'karmisinrot' or carmine red. Deep and vibrant with a slightly purple hue. It is noted in reference books that this varied a bit during the early Reichswehr era. I see Ron's cap more as rose pink....at least on my monitor.
