    This was purchased in late 90s coming out of Russia

              At first I thought they were brass but they look like they
              Brass coated but it has worn away to a base metal. Interior
              Flanges are pretty smashed

                          Had waffenfarbe at one time...you can see slits
                          And tracking where it was...
                          It's pretty dirty inside but wear seams consistent.
                          Worn down to base cloth on exposed areas and interior.
                          Insignia looks original to me and the eagle is a little grungy
                          But the earlier white eagle.
                          That being said I'll let the experts weigh in.....
