Any embossing on the sweatband? Looks like a nice cap in my opinion. An upscale NCO upgrade....?

An NCO hat with an artificial silk liner?

                        Why not ?
The quality of the cap doesn't show immediately OFF or NCO ?
                        Why an NCO upgrade ?

Unless detailed pics show evidence of an officer chincord having been on the hat for quite some time, such as wear to the bottom piping &/or indentations or 'rub marks' on the visor surface, I can see how an "Upgraded NCO Visor" is a possibility. The fact that the chincord appears a bit too large, and the condition of the officer side buttons/split pins, lead me to think that both might not be original to the hat.

However, the placement of the wreath suggests to me that perhaps it is indeed an officer visor (as a NCO chinstrap would cover most of the wreath given its placement), especially if you consider the extreme wear to the interior. Consequently, perhaps it IS an officer visor, which originally had the cords removed to make its wearer less of an attractive target to a sniper, etc. As a result, maybe the officer side buttons and chincord were added to 'restore' the hat.

In any event, I absolutely LOVE the visor, whether an upgraded NCO or original officer visor; congrats on a great find!
