I would point out that it's a black SS cap not necessarily Allgemeine-SS, could be SS-TV or SS-VT.

Looks like a friendly skull. The cord looks wrong from the photos. Would be nice to see inside and under sweat band.

Never seen any embroided (cloth) skull on a visor. Did they originally exist? Does someone have any photos?
