WSS leather panzer field cap?

    Thanks Lou and all the other friends for your opinions. The cap that started this thread sold yesterday on EBay for close to $900.00. I did not participate on the auction because there is too much uncertainty about these.

    I found this other one on the web. This one seems like a variant with the shadow of SS insignia? As we all know, the use of KM leather jackets and pants by the WSS is a fact. But I don't remember seing a period picture with this type of cap in use. Do anyone know if this caps were discussed before?

                      Looks well made and cut like a KM cap.....note the wide spacing of visor underside stitching. Interesting for sure! Thanks for posting.

                            This is a hat from the Austrian driver of the First World War, certainly in the second world war this type of caps were taken from Wehmacht
