    Hermann Mayer Officers

Thougths? Some of the stitching looks off - too thick and heavy.

I have one precise taken in the sixties to the early markets in Paternion little village between Spittal and Villach Austria, came from a warehouse where they are found other things for Africa ties, shorts, belts, shirts, overseas and 5 of these caps but some of the forum say they are false, for me are original,

I think it looks good from pix posted. Better, detailed, pix needed.

I requested more but these are all the pics provided. This cap is coming up in an auction soon.

John Hodgin - your thoughts would be appreciated.

First of all I would demand better pics of the insignia ..
Then, it's called officer, but when was the cord added ?
The original strap is much harder to find, I would not pay more for the name officer.

              Hi Jos,

More pics were requested by me, however, the auction house does not have the time for extra pics to be made and then sent.

Original from what i see .
                Badges are ok .
No really nice repro of those badges are on the market , only synthetic ones !
Regarding the celleon cord , why not period changed ?
It looks logical and in a right position ?

Another aspect I am uncomfortable with and one thing I have not seen before on this type cap is the two fold on the bill as shown in the below photo. Typically you will see a single cloth covering for the bill.
