Least favourable waffenfarbe Heer

Hi. I just wonder what you guys think is the bottom 5 least favourable waffenfarbe in Heer headgear. I have no idea, but IMO I think the bottom would be admin (dark green). Part of the reason would be that it is unlikely that these were involved in direct combat. Appreciate opinions. Thanks in advance.

1. Admin
2. Cavalery
3. Transport
4. Medical
5. Artillery

It really all depends on personal test IMO For example I know collectors that only collect cavalry. Or there are many collectors who like medical a lot but I for example don't like it at all. Many collectors do not like artillery because it is very common but I like Artillery one of the most because to my view the red piping looks very striking. Also they were "god of war" (to quote Stalin)/combat units. On another hand, Infantry is also very common but for some reason it is more desirable than artillery among collectors.. go figure

It's certainly a matter of opinion, but I would not list cavalry as the 2nd least favorite waffenfarbe, far from it.

Cavalry 2nd bottom ???? are you mmmmmmmad ? . I personally like them all it all depends on the cap , but if it is a plain jane NCO cap I am not too keen on Pioneer . Rob

Agree, Kavallerie (gold gelb) Waffenfarbe was used by some of the best combat units - Reconnaissance - as in Aufklärungs-Abteilungen, Kradschützen-Abteilungen and some Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilungen - Also Kavallerie-Schützen-Regimenter that later became Panzergrenadier- Regimenter

To me Kavallerie i.e. Reconnaissance is with Panzergrenadier on the top of the list of combat units.

I always considered Transport to be somewhat rare,you don't see it that often like Medical,Admin, Artillery etc.

Thanks alot . Well I guess its all about personal preference, but just needed some opinions. I'm pretty new to collectimg so I dont really know how desirable the they are. Understand that kavalery and transport is more desirerabel thanI thought and should be out of my list

I've always liked admin, but then I've always liked red heads so.....

I for one have never liked artillery, but I wonder if that's because I'm colour blind so the red doesn't sit with the green in my eyes?

Waffenfarbe color? I really don't care - so long as it's Officer version, in Sattelform.

Those of us that have keen interest in World War II, are usually focused on
combat related topics.
Hence, the MOST popular waffenfarben are COMBAT branches of the Wehrmacht.
Conversely, the LEAST popular waffenfarben would be the branches that
were not usually considered front line combat units.
IMO, here are the least popular Waffenfarben:
1. Heersverwaltung
2. Bautruppen
3. Nachschubtruppe
4. Sanitats
5. Veterinar

Every collector has his own favorite branch, but I do believe most favor the
combat branches (those that won the highest decorations for bravery)

I don't really care about the 'farbe, it is quality of manufacture; condition; and shape.

Some collect based upon what the hat represents, others (like me) collect because of the handicraft involved, and appreciate a lost art.
