Rare T-insignia. Hat looks like crap.

                  If real, Geb.Jäg.Rgt. 100, II./6.-10. Kp. had a Dr.Wagner...
(unit was deployed on Crete). Common name though...

Wool looks early, almost Polizei in color...and the "T" insignia is of course early and officers grade...For sure nice and original expensive eagle.
Early GJ officers of course had no silver crown piping...but the cap is not GJ in shape, (sloppy body) and lacks early steinnuss knopfen (GJ cap buttons....)
but definitely private purchase based on the interior if real. I like it more than I don't! ...

                    Cap

Thanks for the info Nick, I have no doubt whatsoever on Originality, was found stored away with some other items, got a salty Heer Pith Helmet with it. This cap was crushed flat with stuff piled on top of it, will look much better when I get it back in form.

                      cap

The cap looks perfectly original IMO. Other than the officer's "T" the silver buttons were normal for an officer. The full sweat band and interior cloth are also indicative of officer items. Perhaps he wanted a little longer visor.

I've learnt something here...I didn't know about the early T-shaped officer eagles. Thanks.
