Hello dear WA forum users

My first post is also one that includes a question..I hope this is alright. I am a former WW2 collector, now more focused on 90's military gear but still interested in WW2 stuff. I have had this piece for some time now, I got it from a veteran in Croatia for an okay price.

What I found out about it is that it is suposed to be a Croatian-German NCO police cap.

Any opinions on this hat? I'd love to hear them! Best regards,

The insignia is of course Polizei...
The cap of course is not!
Put together...probably a modern civil cap with the plastic diamond removed...leather also ripped out...(or more modern materials?)
Cap cords are also wrong! RUN!

Agree with Nick. Just a massive mess of a humped up piece. Throw it in the truck and use for a frisbee at the next family picnic

Gentlemen, thanks for your quick and clear response. I am not dissapointed because I already thought it might be something like this. Better to know, then to keep doubting !

There is probably nothing of worth on this hat then? I just could sell it as a full repro?

Sorry to say, the metal insignia is only probably original things I see.
