M43 Bias Material

Has anyone ever seen green bias material on an M43 hat? This is from an Org Todt officer's cap.

yes, many different materials were used. in very late headgear the scaloping bias tape is missing completly.

My guess is bias tape came in different widths and colors. I don't think early Bergmutzes had it and I think it became necessary on M43's due to the use of poor wools and the need to reinforce the front scallop so it wouldn't stretch out from repeated pull downs. Only a thought.

A lot of knowledgeable collectors reject "chocolate" colored bias material -- at least on heer hats. I have seen this color on original org todt hats also. I was just wanting to start a discussion on this topic.
