Opinions on this cap would be appreciated. Al of the other DRK Ems I have found on this site have a LW type roundel and this eagle is referred to as a 2nd pattern . . . so I'm wondering if this might be a 3rd pattern? (2.5 perhaps?) Opinions on originality are appreciated. Thank you.

Based on my research, the eagle insignia looks original and correct for the later-war DRK caps. So far, I've only been able to find one other example like this with a subdued Heer type flat roundel rather than the raised LW type. It was on a grey cap like this one without vents. Any onions would be appreciated, thank you!
