              Hello Gentlemen,
              Okay, for me, here's the whole story on any of these RGG/HG overseas caps. I spoke with George Petersen about these many years ago, and his feeling was, that he had NEVER seen any period photographic evidence of them being in wear.
              Now with that said, that doesn't mean they still didn't exist, but it does raise a good question....
              This example looks as good as any, in my opinion, but for me, I have not kept any in my collection.

                The only thing I see that bothers me is the front seam of the crown-- it is flanked by 2 lines of stitching. I don't recall seeing that on most M40 sidecaps. They usually aren't rendered like that.

                        As I assume this cap was made by private taylor. So the sweatband doesn`t have to be neccesary "QualitatMarke" one ??? How can you know it is a postwar sweatband ?
