Pics for cap with green piping and maker HJ

Previously posted this with only the description which I've copied below but have joined forum and now posting pics.

The insignia has been removed but the holes for where it used to be can be seen on the front. Two vertical holes on the lower part and two horizontal above this.

The cap it self is green in color and I think is canvas in material. It has a brighter green piping on its upper edge. there are two vent holes green color also on the left hand and right hand side.

Interior rim is a dark grey leather and the inside of the cap is a dull yellow and their is a triangular velum material on top of this with a single maker mark.

The maker mark is yellow in color and consists of a capitalized H with a larger
letter J over layed on top of the H.

I've gone thru all my cap badge books and cant find it.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Al

Last picture of the maker HJ.

Not sure what the cap origin is, thought it might be German in origin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

        Thanks, Al

I previously mentioned n my first post that I thought the cap material was canvas, this is incorrect. I believe it is cotton.

Definately a postwar cap.... nothing to do the the HJ (that's the makers initials).... soft sweathshield.... etc., that's why you can't find it.

Not rocket science... surprised these still fool anybody...

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post and for your information.

Besides the items you mention, Wilkens book mentions that the grommets should be brown where as these are green. Any other color is not good.

Got this in box full of Allied caps, there was even an early Yellow Cap drivers cap and some other odd stuff.

                thanks again, Al
