      Aurel Huber was a legitimate maker, that cap looks correct.

        Thanks a lot for your opinion. That confirms my position

        The second cap i think the manufacturer stamp has been washed out, may be (by the look of the grommets) an in 1942 made cap by Alfred Valet?

        Further help is very wellcome

            I agree, both original and the second one looks to have had a badge sewn on the side.

              Thanks a lot, you made my day!

              And you are absolutely right, it really looks like a badge was sewn there -
              they are some black stitches left!

              It Looks like there was a hunter (jäger) badge fixed, is that possible?

              Something like that --->

              Or may be a Edelweiss -->

                Yes, completely possible!

                Did you look to see if there is any soutache / waffenfarbe left in the fold of the cap?
                I see a gap in the stitching.

                      I don't think that either cap had a soutache judging by the intact stitching at the base of the body.It would be a nice surprise if I am wrong though.

                          Neat caps but neither had soutache in my opinion.

                          Robt.
