    SA Kepi on the Estand..

    Hello,

Think this is not a period cap...

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=1#post6983244

    ....

I do not like the lining, "square" shape of the visor... ?

"perhaps" a good outside.... but lining restored ?

not what we expect to see on such caps...

Yes, I can understand your concerns. From these pictures the visor appears to be somehow longer/bigger than usual; the lining is not what commonly seen in the RZM tagged kepis and the sweatband looks to be re-stitched.

Lining restored? Possible but in my opinion very difficult… the whole cap (including the vent grommets) should be disassembled

Doesn't the bill seem to be a lot more elongated than on a standard kepi? I am sure variations could exist, but it does seem unusual.

Please let me know what photos would help in determining this caps origins.

            Anzel,

First of all, the lining is not homogeneous in wear of the outside and far from a regular made EML/NCO SA Kepi made from 1938/39 to 45 .

see and compare also the shape and size of the visor with the other cap...

This 2 points tells me that's not an "untouched"cap .

Of course there were surely variations in the manufacturing of this caps...
But in this case, it's quite disppointing from "Clemens Wagner" (4) the cap maker.

But let's read more opinions !
