Some liked that Pz cap, some didn't.

Do you remember this one of mine though mate?
It was also 44 dated and LAGO marked. I found it in Germany without insignia and it was unique because of the added vent grommets.

While the majority of M-43s have simply an RBNr., some have a maker and RBNr., while a few originals have simply a maker (often a LAGO).

I don't think the cap has any problems and 'LAGO' spans the pre war to late war era. A guild or consortium of tailors, capmakers, furriers each one getting a number which usually appears within a boxy inkstamp and sometimes with a region denoted. Only my 2 cents.

I have this EM M-43 that was upgraded to officer from the firm of Karl Kubach with only the makers stamp/date.

I don't think ink was spilled on the lining of the subject M-43,but rather there was too much ink on the ends of the stamp when it was stamped.

Yes, but it seems that finding a latewar lago/mm marked (exept fake ones) M43 cap seems impossible.

Or does anyone have one they can show? (not counting the one that started the thread)

Here are a few better images of your cap http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=576346
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.
