    M-43 cap in splinter camo

    Just found nice image in german newsreel from Wrocław (Breslau)-probably early days of 1945. Karl Hanke in background. And few M-43 in camo
    Wonder if only local / Breslau made or from large army depots which were in this city in that time.

      Very interesting indeed. These are most likely locally produced and could even bear size markings from that perspective, normally the kiss of death when considered to be a field made item.

      Would be nice to see if they have all the same insignia as well.

              An unquestionable original splinter pattern field cap has always been a dream of mine. I have never been fortunate enough to find one that I could have full faith in authenticity. I would love to see posted examples of originals so I could learn what to look for in factory or field made types.
