m34 cap.. question on insignia

Well the US vet decided to sew the officer bullion eagle on the side, but the front is sewn with different threads and looks to be very old and impressed in the wool, unlike the officer breast eagle.

What are your thoughts?

Sewing the bullion eagle on the cap was great because it kept the eagle in nice condition.

There are a few spots on the cap and inside where you can see verdigris from other pins attached to the cap.

I know the cockade is sewn with odd thread but look how set in it is to the wool!! nothing like how the breast eagle threads sat on top of the fabric.

Looks good to me,cockade may have come loose and had some stitching added to secure it...I think a medics hat based on the removed soutache.
