I would very much appreciate any opinions on the originality of this cap. It's in the hands of someone very knowledgeable, but a second set of eyes never hurt .

any sign that buttons have ever been on sides for a chinstrap, looks like a nice period officers cap perhaps with leather visor added period, I like the look of it though
