    Generic Paper Label?

I am a collector of vintage German and Austrian dress hats. I have a couple examples of this paper label with no company mark. Any help would be appreciated!

I was thinking EMS might be the company initials but haven't come up with anything.

    Another example.

    Another example but not mine.

My guess would be that EMS is a distributor, not a maker.
Off the top of my head I cannot recall a TR distributor by those initials, but maybe someone else here can.

As far as the logo in the derby, imo, it is circa early 1950s, but once again, I do not have any experience in civilian headgear.

(I must say, civilian headgear of the TR would be a most interesting topic, but it is difficult to separate Weimar from TR and TR from BRD by logos alone.)

Thank you for the reply. Sorry about this being off topic.

I think you are correct about the dating. I have pretty much given up on EMS as hat company or distributor.

I have a large number of old German and Austrian dress hats. I am especially into old Austrian Velours. Here is an amazing one from the 1930s with a WWII connection.

      J. Hückel´s Söhne Superior Crystall Velour (JHS is my favorite hat company.)

Here is a recent find. Echter Borsalino (date stamped 1929) in new old stock condition. Borsalino made hats for the German market.

This is my site which has a fairly large amount of information on German and Austrian hat companies (I am also into the manufacturing processes, from felt to finished hat).

I haven't been able to find a comprehensive pre WWII German hat company list. I have them for Austria (see below). Are you aware of Deutsche Hutmacher-Zeitung and Österreichisch Hutmacher-Zeitung? It's difficult to find copies of these papers.
