Because when it comes to rare, how many of these did they make in WW1 or 2 ?

That cap has a subtle sheen...maybe a mid weight poplin or sateen....? My Sud front NCO tunic is a lt. weight duck and the weave is pretty noticeable-- similar to the one shown in the other thread.
There are guys on this forum with alot of crushers, I'm surprised they haven't responded. Ustasha sold me a great early crusher at SOS this year and, in the case with it, was a crusher made from med. gray poplin or a very similar fine weave fabric. It may be seen possibly in some of his group shot pix in the crusher thread.

PS....also a thought is fine wool gabardine, very elegant, soft hand with a bit of sheen.
