M42 Overseas cap right or wrong?

Hi,i have been offered this Heer M42 overseas cap.The cap is in near mint, unissued condition if its original.I'm sure the insignia is correct and the buttons are marked A&S.
My worry is that the insignia is M43 pattern on an M42 cap.I have seen it on others but the insignia has been hand stitched on not machine stitched like this one has been done.Normally i think it was t the T shape insignia.Only markings to the interior is the size 58.
Looking at the top of the stitching on insignia its just go's off line slightly.
Nothing glow's under U.V light but that is not a guarantee, opinion's would really help me a make a decision on if i buy it or not.......Thanks Rob

Hi Rob, the pics are a bit blurry, so hard to tell. It almost looks like the top of the insignia is hand stitched to me. I'm ok with this kind of insignia on an M42, hand or machine stitched, either is okay I believe. Can you show more of the cap's interior including the inside of the grommets.

Very cool variation...I own an M42 with the conventional T insignia...
Must be a transitional thing using what we consider M43 traps!
learned something new today! Great image!

An original factory applied trap was on a collector friend of mine YEARS AGO....I remember nothing than it was real right and ORIGINAL...I would postulate these and the latest M42 s with the new time saving easier to apply trapezoid we see on many M43 caps..jury still out for sure on example posted but picture is WAY COOL..Billbert

                    chevron

The war-time photo is unusual for the very late-war looking Obergfr. chevron as well. Any date on the reverse?

The cap does not look like it's cut right....way too tall and the eyelets look modern.
