    SS M43 Cap

I would like opinions on this cap. It's made from very rough wool, with a machine sewn trap that is nicely settled, with German HBT liner material.

    Regards, Robert

The wool is stiff, like this stuff sometimes gets, and is very furry on the inside, and worn smooth in wear areas on the outside.

I once had a similar one. I like it.

Excellent cap Robert, although it looks like the buttons have been re-sewn at some stage.

As you already know from this very long thread and argument about this type (linked below). I have a soft spot for these SS M43 caps

What colour and weave is the bias material ?

Thanks for looking, fellas. It is really nice in hand. Chris, the ones that churned so much debate are the panzer variety with black body and hbt lining, but the green ones seem to have no problem passing muster.

                        regards, Robert

                              Hi Sayle,

The bias is the brown type, which identical to the type in the M43's with the printed traps.

Pretty interesting that this perfect cap, which shows no signs of tampering and has features that speak to originality in all respects, has this type of bias tape.

I have seen this in other caps that are original, and have posted a few shots of other cap that were discussed and approved that also had various shades of brown and grey tape.

                              regards, Robert
