Waffen SS M40 Officer oversea cap

Hi , I got this nice Waffen SS cap, but something strange it is mounted on upside down, the insignia are not on the front, but mounted on the back! Is this something common? What you will do with that, remove and put them back at the correct place? What is the value of that? Thanks!
